Lucky Pet at Home has achieved certification as Certified Professional Pet Sitters. In addition, Lucky Pet does extensive training of our staff.  This isn't a hobby or "extra pocket money" for us.... TAKING CARE OF YOUR PETS IS OUR PASSION.

HISTORY >>> Lucky Pet at Home Pet Services started out as Lucky Dog At Home in 2007 when a canine flu outbreak hit Colorado Springs causing the closure of all boarding kennels in the Colorado Springs area until the flu outbreak could be controlled.  Lucky Dog Resorts started offering the in-home care so their boarding clients would have an option for the care of their dogs while they were out of town.  Once the outbreak was resolved, Lucky Dog continued offering in-home care for pets that couldn't be boarded and for dogs that needed an alternative to boarding.

In 2010, Kaye Queen, current owner of Lucky Pet at Home Pet Services, began working for Lucky Dog as a Pet Sitter and became manager of Lucky Dog at Home in 2014.  In November, 2016, the in-home pet care part of Lucky Dog was turned over to Kaye who became owner of Lucky Pet at Home Pet Services.  One of the first orders of business was deciding to begin offering a much wider variety of services than just feeding and walking -- pet parents needed a lot more help with their "children" -- and that focus carries on today as we continue adding services and locations that are served.

In 2020, Lucky Pet continued to offer a full range of pet care services from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, through its height, all the way until the country was able to start getting back to normal.  Our detailed safety protocols for our Pet Care Providers, as well as our clients, along with a designation by the County and State Health Departments as an "essential service", kept us and our clients safe and provided needed care for pets.

SERVICES >>> Lucky Pet now provides all of the traditional services for cats and dogs, but has expanded to include ALL types of pets (and we truly mean ALL pets) with services that include:

• visits ranging from 15-minute visits to overnight stays (and longer, depending on the pet's needs) to our "Around-the-Clock" care for your pets
  

• services that are provided around-the-clock to meet your needs -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

• specialized care for sick and elder pets, newborns, and service animals

• pet hospice care to provide ongoing end-of-life care at home

• care for pets in assisted-living, independent-living, nursing and hospice facilities

• care for pets whose humans are suddenly in the hospital with no one to care for their pets
  

• farm animal care
  

• vacation home checks and house sitting

• a line of completely balanced homemade, gourmet meals for dogs and cats and a line of healthy treats for pets
  

• light grooming (bath and brushing) and nail trims for dogs and tolerant cats

• poop scooping

• and many other services designed to make your life as a pet parent easier

• Community Pet CPR and First Aid classes, and general house cleaning

All visits are made to your home, business, RV or hotel (we are not licensed to provide boarding in our homes).  A Home Security Check is performed at each visit and we take special care to make sure it looks like someone is at home during your absence.  We pride ourselves in giving the best customer service in the industry and caring for your pet "children" as if they were our own.  Are we perfect?  No, but we work hard to come as close as we can and we listen to our client's input on how we can do better.

• Too tired to take your pup for a walk after a long day at work?  We can take care of that!

• Don't like getting out in Colorado's cold or snowy weather or Oklahoma's blazing hot and unpredictable weather?  We can take care of that!

• Need to get your pet to the vet or groomer but can't take time off from work?  We can take care of that!

• Haven't had a vacation in years because you're taking care of your pets?  We can take care of that!

• Not able to get your pet to take their medications?  We can take care of that!

We offer specialized services at a discounted rate to those who suddenly find themselves in a hospital or who live in assisted living facilities. We also work with local pet-friendly hotels and RV Parks to provide our services to anyone who is visiting our cities and staying at one of these facilities with their pet.  We will do pet visits to your hotel room or RV and take your pet out for a walk , potty break or taxi them to the playday facility of your choice.

We have free phone consultations and our initial visit is only $10 which helps to cover part of the cost of the Pet Care Providers coming out to meet you and your pet (first-time clients will need to call our office to do a phone consultation and set up the initial visit).  We offer Active and Retired Military and First Responder (Police/Fire/EMS) discounts.  If you're not Military or a First Responder, check out our Pet Care Service Cards for other discounts.

Lucky Pet uses the Precise Pet Care Management System which allows our clients to schedule, change and cancel visits at their convenience -- no more texting and calling the sitter to cancel a visit or schedule future visits -- and to have access to notes about visits and direct communication with their Pet Service Provider.
